American Legion Unit 147 Auxillary 

 Annual Dues:

 

           Auxiliary: $25.00                                 Junior Auxiliary: $8.00

- July to July-

Dues must be paid by all officers before installation meeting in August


We are always in need of volunteers, please contact Sherri Messier if able to help our Post. 


Meetings

 All members of the Auxiliary are encouraged and welcome to attend. 

 

Meeting Schedule

First Monday of the month at 6:00 at Post Home

NO meetings in January or July

Dinner Meetings which are held in December and May start at 6:00

call Post 147 for reservations 812-482-3862 (please call 2 weeks in advance for reservations)

 

 

 

PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION

For God and Country we associate ourselves together for the following

Purposes:

To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America; to maintain law and order; to foster and perpetuate a one hundred percent Americanism; to preserve the memories and incidents of our associationsduring all wars; to inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the community, state and nation; to combat the autocracy of both the classes and the masses; to make right the master of might; to promote peace and goodwill on earth; to safeguard and transmit to posterity the principles of justice, freedom and democracy; to participate in and contribute to the accomplishments of the aims and purposes of The American Legion; to consecrate and sanctify our association by our devotion to mutual helpfulness.


        Membership Requirements and Annual Dues


 Q: I am related to someone who served on active duty during one of the membership eligibility dates. Can I join the Auxiliary of The American Legion?

A: If your relative who served on active duty during one of the membership eligibility dates and is a member of The American Legion, you may join the American Legion Auxiliary of The American Legion.

However, if the qualifying veteran is deceased you may join the appropriate organization, even if the qualifying veteran was not a member of The American Legion when living.

Contact your local American Legion Auxiliary Unit, complete the application and proudly join the AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY.
